When I started as a product and brand manager in the beauty industry, I often heard surprised reactions: ‘you don’t look like that at all’
That was true, I did not look like that. To style myself the way I felt comfortable, I sometimes used synthetic make-up myself. A contradiction I was aware of. But what was the alternative? I wanted vegan, natural cosmetics and found: pale colours, crumbly creams, musty scents – hand on heart: many sustainable products were well-intentioned, but not particularly sexy. A bright red lipstick without carmine? Impossible.
Since then, we see it as our mission to reinvigorate the beauty industry with the vision to free natural cosmetics from yesterday’s dust. And to set clear accents for a conscious and sustainable future in which we feel and look better than ever before.
